D’Ska Assassins are a six piece, uptempo Ska Band performing a mix of classic covers and originals.
Their love for Ska music shows through their performance, full of enthusiasm and great tunes… guaranteed to get the audience up singing and dancing. They cover Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Hampshire but travel further afield to entertain audiences.
A 9 piece band formed in Gillingham in 2016. Gigging regularly across Dorset, Wiltshire, Somerset and Hampshire, Big Brass Ska is one of the most popular ska acts in the South West.
There stage show includes songs made famous by Bad Manners, Madness and The Specials, classics from the era of The Pioneers & Prince Buster and a sprinkling of punk-influenced tracks from the likes of Rancid and Reel Big Fish.
High energy vocals, a driving rhythm section & a powerful horn line-up are what gives that unique Big Brass Ska heavy monster sound!
Both bands work well together and you will often see players from either band playing in the other. They both share the love of SKA music but both bands are unique in what they do. At Gillingham Live Music Festival after each band has made their individual performances they will come together at the end to what is promised to be an amazing spectacle of SKA!
